Take ownership of preparing, verifying, and optimizing cost estimates for major industrial plants. What You Will Be Doing
- Independently prepare and verify cost estimates for large industrial plants (chemicals, oil & gas)
- Check and validate internal and external estimates
- Support budget planning, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Develop and maintain cost models and calculation bases
- Conduct risk analyses related to costs and sensitivities
- Communication and preparation of monthly reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with project teams and engineering
- Client interactions: participate in meetings in Amersfoort (approx. 2 days/week)
- Contribute to process optimization within Cost Engineering
What You Bring To The Job
- Successfully completed studies in the field of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, technical business administration or a comparable field
- Several years of relevant work experience in cost estimating / cost engineering in large-scale industrial projects (chemicals, oil & gas)
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, excellent knowledge of Excel
- Team spirit, assertiveness and a high level of negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel to Amersfoort (2 days/week)
- english: C1 – Advanced
- dutch: C1 – Advanced
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience in the energy, chemical, or oil & gas sectors
- Experience with Cleopatra is an advantage
- german: B2 – Upper Intermediate
