As a recruiting partner of akenza AG, a fast-growing Swiss tech company, we are looking for you as Sales Executive (a) to grow the footprint with industrial customers in the DACH region. You can work remotely within the DACH region, but you also have the option of working from a fantastic office in Zurich.
As part of the growing sales team, your mission is to position the IoT and data platform in the industrial environment. You’ll focus on identifying and closing opportunities in industrial environments where connected sensors, smart factories and environmental monitoring can bring immediate value. 💪

What You Will Be Doing
- Drive direct sales of the IoT platform in the industrial IoT space, targeting clients in manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline and contribute to quarterly revenue targets
- Work with the partner manager to build and grow a network of channel partners and resellers who bring Akenza’s platform into industrial environments
- Support and enable partners with the right sales tools, onboarding, and training
- Co-sell with partners and develop joint value propositions for shared target markets
- Educate customers and partners alike on the value of sensor-based IoT solutions – without needing to touch PLCs or legacy automation stacks
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and deliver against revenue targets
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities with industrial customers
- Understand customer pain points in areas like equipment monitoring, predictive maintenance or indoor air quality
- Translate these into IoT solutions powered by the akenza platform, working closely with the tech team
- Educate customers on how they can create value from sensor data without complex integrations
- Represent akenza at trade shows, industry events, and on-site client meetings across the DACH region
What You Bring To The Job
- Several years of experience in B2B tech sales with proven track record, with a focus on IoT, connectivity, sensors, or light industrial tech
- Familiarity with industrial environments, but not tied to classic automation systems (PLC, SCADA, MES)
- Strong network within the region
- Strong consultative selling skills – you’re great at mapping needs to use cases and building trust
- A self-driven attitude, able to operate independently and manage a territory
- Willingness to travel across DACH for client meetings and events
- english: C1 – Advanced
- german: C1 – Advanced
